Dolly Day Lewis County 2025 to be celebrated May 17

Posted

The Lewis County Rotary Foundation and United Way of Lewis County have announced a celebration for Dolly Day Lewis County will be held on Saturday, May 17.

The two-part event benefits Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which delivers a free book to every enrolled child every month.

The festivities begin at noon and run to 2 p.m. at Chehalis Outfitters, where KMNT 104.3 will be broadcasting live on location for a special radio pledge drive.

Families are encouraged to stop by for giveaways, food and drink vendors, and an opportunity to sign their children under the age of 5 up for the Imagination Library — a program that delivers free-to-families, age-appropriate books by mail each month. It currently costs $31 per child each year to participate, and over 2,500 children in Lewis County are already enrolled.

The celebration continues that evening with the Dolly Day concert at 7 p.m. at The Juice Box in Centralia, featuring Cascade Country artist Kitty Mae. Kitty Mae will also lead a 30-minute line dancing lesson to get the crowd moving. Guests will enjoy live music, a silent auction and a paddle raise led by state Rep. Peter Abbarno.

Tickets are $25 for general admission and $50 for VIP seating, with all proceeds going directly to support Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Lewis County.

This community-wide effort is made possible through a strong partnership between United Way of Lewis County and the Lewis County Rotary Foundation.
