Running through league teams for the third time this season, the W.F. West softball team opened the third time through in style, defeating Rochester on the road, 10-3.
Kamy Dacus and Savannah Hawkins both slammed home runs, with Dacus batting 3 for 4 with two runs scored and two RBIs and Hawkins adding a 2 for 4 line with four RBIs.
Dacus also started in the circle, pitching a complete game with three earned runs on seven hits with one walk and seven strikeouts.
On the other side, the Warriors started Sadie Knutson, who had a strong start, but was pulled in the fourth inning after allowing 11 hits and seven earned runs with one strikeout. Lakota Escott relieved Knutson to throw 3 ⅓ innings with two earned runs on four hits with three strikeouts.
Macey Fluetsch led the Warriors at the plate with a 2 for 3 line with a run and two RBIs.
W.F. West will take on Tumwater in a rubber match on Monday for its next game, hoping to stay alive for a league title, while the Warriors take on Black Hills at home.
