Riverside Fire Authority Meeting

March 23 at Station 2 headquarters, 1818 Harrison Ave., Centralia; 5 p.m.

These meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month.

 

Book Sale

March 23 through 26 at the Lewis County Mall in Chehalis; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday

Proceeds of this annual gently-used book sale go to the American Association of University Women Lewis County chapter. Those wishing to donate used books may call 360-736-2147 or 360-262-3499. Masks are encouraged.

 

Superhero Fun Run

March 26 at Fort Borst Park; 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This fun run, walk or roll is free to enter. It will be hosted by Kiddin’ Around and the Centralia Prevention Coalition. Kids and families of all ages are welcome to come dressed as their favorite superhero to raise money for the Centralia Athletics and Activities Facilities Foundation. New Parent Fair

March 26 at the Morton Elementary School gym; 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This free fair will include infant CPR instruction and parenting tips. A photographer will be set up for family or pregnancy photos. There will also be activity booths, door prizes and snacks.

Those who call Louise at 360-496-3344 to RSVP by March 18 will receive a free packet of diapers.

 

Potato Bake and Silent Auction

March 26 at the Adna Grange, 123 Dieckman Road, Chehalis; 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The grange will hold a silent auction to raise funds for improvements to the grange hall during its monthly potato bake event. Lunch costs $7 and will include a potato, toppings, a beverage, salad and dessert. The auction is cash only and closes at 1:30 p.m.

 

Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Banquet

March 26 at the Jester Auto Museum and Event Center, 321 Hamilton Road, Chehalis; 4 p.m.

This is the Chehalis chapter Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s 30th annual banquet and auction.

Onalaska 26th Annual Scholarship Dinner and Auction

March 26 at the Onalaska High School Gym; Doors open at 5 p.m., dinner from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Dinner ticket prices are $20 or $15 for kids ages $10 and under. Tickets are available at the door or by calling Linda Sabin at 360-262-3735. Proceeds will go to the graduating class of 2022.

 



Lazy H.K. Bar Winter Series Rodeo

March 26 at 365 Schoen Road, Silver Creek; gates open at 5 p.m., riding starts at 6 p.m.

Admission costs $10, kids 5 and under are free. Bring your own drinks and snacks. Underage drinking is not allowed. Dogs are not allowed. Follow signs for contestant and spectator parking.

All riders must check in before 5 p.m., entrants can call Beau Shelton at 360-870-1515. Open riders pay $100, bovice and steer riders pay $45. Bring exact change.

The Story of Father Luigi Rossi Presentation

March 27 at Steamboat Landing, 115 Ramsey Way, Toledo; 1:30 p.m.

The Toledo Historical Society will present "The American Story of Father Luigi Rossi" as portrayed by Raymond Egan. The story takes place in 1862 as Father Rossi makes the rounds of his missionary district before returning to Europe.

 

Lewis County Grange Contests

April 1 at the Oakview Grange; 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Entries will be accepted April 1 for grangers and non-grangers in many different categories, including arts and crafts, photography, quilts, baked goods, sewing, knitting, crocheting and many others. Southwest Washington Mycological Society Meeting

April 5 at the WSU Extension Office on Cascade and Main in Chehalis; 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Celebrate the club’s 10th birthday by bringing mushrooms for identification. Bring treats to share. All are invited and welcome to join the club.

Topics include preparing for graduation and other transitions, social security, employment supports and more.
