The Centralia College softball team put on a hitting display here Saturday as they dropped Clark College decisively by scores of 11-1 and then 17-6 in a NWAC South Conference softball double header.

Dakota Brooks tossed a five-inning complete game in both contests. In the first game she allowed four hits and one run while striking out four batters. The lone blemish in that outing was a solo home run surrendered in the fifth inning.

On offense the Trailblazers banged out a dozen hits.

Olivia Dean and Jamie Carlson each had a pair of home runs to lead the way. Dean finished with three hits and five RBI while Carlson tallied four RBI. Brooks added a pair of hits and a pair of RBI to help out her own cause while Britzy Hockett added two hits and two runs from the leadoff spot in the order.

In the second game Brooks struck out five batters and allowed 10 hits over five innings to earn the win.

The Blazers, meanwhile, had 13 hits in the nightcap and scored nine runs in the first inning alone.

Hockett and Dean were each able to leg out a double and bust out their home run trot. Dean had four hits and drove in eight runs in the game and Hockett finished the game with three RBI. Jayden Bensen drove in two runs while McKenna Smith, Madelynn Thompson, Alyssa Jorgensen all had a RBI each. Devanie Kleemeyer added a triple for Centralia.

Centralia (7-3, 2-0) will host Lower Columbia College on Saturday for a pair of South Conference games. First pitch is slated for noon at Borst Park.
