“Christmas in July” is happening at Centralia Ballet Academy (CBA), as the local dance studio is holding a Nutcracker Boot Cam from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. July 6 to 10.
This camp is being held to introduce kids ages 8 and older to the art of ballet using the classic holiday story, according to a news release from the academy.
Students will learn dance, acting and stage combat skills. This will also be a great way to find out if a kid wants to audition for Centralia Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker, which will be performed at Centralia College this December.
Enrollment for the camp is $95 per student. CBA will also be hosting other camps this summer, including KPOP Heroes for kids ages 8 to 12, and Dancing Fairies for ages 4 to 7. The KPOP camp for kids ages 4 to 7 is full, but there is a waiting list.
