The reign of Miss Lewis County Hannah Ash comes to an end Saturday night as six contestants vie for the crown.
The theme this year is “Here Comes the Sun.”
The winner gets to compete in the Miss Washington pageant this summer, and will represent us at area festivals and fairs. Ash has had a successful term, coming in at second runner-up at the state pageant. The winner of the state title goes on to compete for the Miss America crown.
To qualify as a competitor, entrants must be between 17 and 24 years old, and either be a resident of Lewis County, go to school here, or work full-time in the county. They must also never have been married, never have been pregnant and be a U.S. citizen.
The competition Saturday night includes a private interview, talent show, an on-stage interview and modeling both evening wear and a swimsuit.
