Chipotle Mexican Grill announced that its first location in Centralia will open on Thursday, April 16. The restaurant is located at 1161 Harrison Ave., the former home of Starbucks near Safeway.
Chipotle will be open daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m. The company is hiring at the Centralia location and across the United States. According to an email from Chipotle, there are approximately 30 jobs per location, with competitive benefits such as a crew bonus with the opportunity to earn an extra month’s worth of pay each year, a debt-free college degree program, access to mental healthcare for employees and their families, and more.
The Port of Centralia previously announced in September 2024 that Chipotle would be a tenant in its Centralia Station development, which also houses WinCo Foods and will soon feature Chick-fil-A, Wilco Farm Store and Great NorthWest Federal Credit Union.
However, according to interim Port of Centralia Executive Director Amy Graber in February, Chipotle opted out of the Centralia Station location and decided to move into the 1161 Harrison Ave. location as the building was available.
Centralia guests can try the brand’s latest limited-time protein offering, chicken al pastor, and its newest vibrant cilantro lime sauce, as well as other features.
“Centralia guests can enroll in the brand’s revamped Chipotle Rewards program to earn free monthly food drops, customizable birthday rewards and more,” the company wrote in an email to The Chronicle. Centralia guests can try the brand’s new curated menu that features items that range from 15 to 81 grams of protein per item. The menu offers entrees like the double high protein bowl and high protein-high fiber bowl, snacks like the new high protein cup, and a single chicken taco starting at $3.50."
