Chehalis Sheet Metal to give a heating and cooling system to a family in need

Chehalis Sheet Metal, which has provided heating, cooling and solar installation throughout Southwest Washington since 1962, will give a new heating and cooling system to a family in need this holiday season.

The first-time giveaway will run through Dec. 17, with the company selecting a recipient on Dec. 20. To win, a recipient must either be on a low or fixed income, a veteran, disabled, have no heat or be in dire need, own the home and have ductwork installed. The recipient must be in either Lewis or Thurston counties.

The system, valued between $5,000 and $5,500, will be installed sometime in early January. The giveaway also includes removal of an old system and a programmable thermostat.

Chehalis Sheet Metal Marketing Coordinator Sharon Tisler said the applicants must apply online, and said phone calls would not be accepted for the giveaway. An entry form can be found at https://www.chehalissheetmetal.com/heating-system-giveaway.

According to Tisler, the company will offer a Trane indoor Air Handler or a gas furnace, depending on the home’s current system.

“It is a top-of-the-line Trane system and should give the homeowner years of warmth!” Tisler wrote in an email.

Applicants are encouraged to give the company brief insight into their current situations.

Chehalis Sheet Metal has offices in both Chehalis and Tumwater.
