Former Centralia resident Jim Lintott was recently named an Outstanding Director by the Washington Business Journal.

Lintott, who now lives in a suburb of Washington, D.C., is the former chairman of Children’s National Health System. The publication credited Lintott with making key hiring decisions that have helped the hospital grow into a $1 billion institution. Lintott stepped down from the chairman position due to term limits. He continues to serve as a board member of Children's Hospital Foundation, which he has served on for 14 years.

Lintott, a 1982 W.F. West High School graduate, was honored in March 2010 with the Chehalis Community Spirit Award after he made two large financial contributions to the restoration of Alexander Park, which was renamed Robert E. Lintott / Alexander Park in honor of his father.

Lintott served on the boards of a number of nationally known charities, including Kids Connect Inc. and Best Buddies International.
