A Chehalis man was injured Wednesday after a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 in Kelso.
According to a Washington State Patrol press memo, the crash occurred at about 10:36 a.m., at milepost 40, near the Motel 6 located at 106 North Minor Road in Kelso.
A Toyota Corolla driven by Larry A. Greenly, 71, of Chehalis, abruptly crossed into another lane when he was entering the northbound lanes of the freeway, causing a blue Subaru Legacy driven by Sheila T. Scardino, 65, of Longview, to swerve and strike Greenly's Toyota, the memo states.
The Toyota left the roadway and overturned on an embankment, and the Subaru stopped on the right shoulder of the highway. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
Greenly was taken to PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center for an unspecified injury. He was cited for improper lane usage, and his car had to be towed from the highway.
No intoxicants were involved in the crash, according to the report.
