Jesus Name Pentecostal Church (JNPC) in Chehalis puts on a massive fireworks show every Fourth of July known as the Freedom Celebration.
Along with the fireworks show in the evening, church grounds are turned into a place for family-friendly fellowship with children’s games, bounce houses and a barbecue.
However, this year, the Freedom Celebration has been canceled as JNPC is about to repave its parking lot and did not want attendees having to deal with the smells and sounds of parking lot construction, according to JNPC event organizer Misty Daily.
“The plan is to resume Freedom Celebration in July 2026,” Daily said.
