Chehalis, Centralia firefighters conduct ladder truck training Monday morning

The Chehalis Fire Department and the Riverside Fire Authority conducted ladder truck operations training at three sites in Chehalis on Monday, the department announced.

“This training is essential to ensure our firefighters are well-prepared for emergency response situations,” the Chehalis Fire Department said in a news release Monday morning.

As part of the training, crews temporarily closed roads at the intersection of North Market Boulevard and Northeast Cascade Avenue; Southeast Washington Avenue and Southeast Third Street; and the Vintage at Chehalis retirement community in the 1500 block of North National Avenue between 9:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Monday, March 24.

“We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation during this time,” the Chehalis Fire Department stated.



These tools are necessary for fire and rescue response,” The Riverside Fire Authority wrote on social media. “Every day is a good day to train and practice using our apparatus efficiently and effectively with our neighbors. Thank you Chehalis Fire Department.”
