In an effort to raise money to pay for repairs to their building’s elevator and chair lift for disabled veterans, members of the American Legion Grant Hodge Post #17 are preparing to host a fundraiser at the Legion post, located at 111 W. Main St. in downtown Centralia.

The fundraiser will be held on Sunday, Sept. 28, from 3 to 5 p.m. according to Grant Hodge Post #17 Commander Bob Clark, and will also be open to the public as a membership drive event for veterans or relatives of veterans interested in joining the Legion.

Attendees will be able to enjoy live music performed by locally renowned country music artist Chris Guenther, with admission being $10 per person.

Additionally, pulled pork sandwich meal combos will be available from the post’s kitchen for $13, and a silent auction featuring gift certificates from local businesses will be held in the post’s bar area.
