Centralia stays unbeaten with win over Shelton

The Centralia boys tennis team won again on Wednesday, sweeping Shelton 6-0 at home to remain unbeaten.

All six matches came in straight sets, and Zander Corwin, Sylvester Stehr, and Kycen Donahue dropped just nine combined games in the three singles matches.

Jonah Lowe and Kadin Yeung didn’t drop a single game in their doubles win, and Jonathan Robbins and Bobby Simpson lost just two.

After winning the first set of their match 7-5, Samuel Parkin and Gavin Driscoll lost just one game in the second set.

Centralia will be at home again on Friday to face Tumwater.

“A solid performance all around,” Centralia coach Keith Hopkins said. “We’re looking forward to the challenge of remaining undefeated.”
