For the second straight match, the Tigers were down at halftime and woke up in the final 40 minutes to come away with a win. In their Evergreen Conference opener on Tuesday, they upended the Wolves 4-1 in Tumwater.

Andres Cruz and two Damian Corona goals within the first 12 minutes of the second half spurred Centralia (4-2, 1-0 EvCo) to the win. Gabriel Cruz tallied the final goal on a free kick in the 68th minute.

“We came out fighting,” Tigers head coach Noel Vazquez said. “It has a lot to do with them understanding who they are. The leadership group demanding more from their teammates at halftime is starting to make things happen.”

Centralia will look to make it to league wins in a row when it battles Tumwater on Friday night.
