Centralia Police Release Photos of Suspects in ATM Explosion

The Centralia Police Department on Monday released photographs of the suspects in a Sunday morning explosion that destroyed an ATM on South Tower Avenue in Centralia.

An image of the suspects’ vehicle was also released. The suspects were driving a late 1990s or early 2000s light colored four-door Honda Accord.

Centralia police, in cooperation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Washington State Patrol Bomb Squad, are still investigating the explosion at the First Security Bank in Centralia located at 604 S. Tower Ave.

The explosion occurred at approximately 6:40 a.m. and was caused by an unknown improvised explosive device that two unidentified suspects used to gain entry into the ATM.

After the explosion, the suspects took the contents of the ATM and fled the area in their vehicle, according to police. Some of the money recovered at the scene had burned edges.

Anyone with information about this incident or the identity of the pictured subjects is encouraged to call the Centralia Police Department at 360-330-7680 or Lewis County Communications at 360-740-1105.
