The Centralia Police Department is investigating a drive-by shooting that was reported in the 200 block of South Silver Street at about 11:42 a.m. Tuesday.
A male suspect in a vehicle reportedly fired a pistol in the direction of another male who was walking on the sidewalk, according to police.
The shooting occurred after the two males had exchanged words.
“This case is currently under investigation and no further information will be released at this time,” the department said in a press release.
