Leading by seven after the opening eight minutes, the Tigers couldn’t get shots to fall in the second and third frames, which led to their eventual 59-46 loss to the Highclimbers on Friday night at Ron Brown Court.
Still, Centralia will be in the Class 2A District 4 tournament for the first time under head coach Austin Danielson. It will likely be the No. 4 seed, barring winning out and Black Hills losing out; those two will face off on Tuesday.
The Tigers scored just 10 points combined in the middle two quarters and allowed 37 to see their early cushion wiped away. Guard Maddie Ahern posted her second straight game with at least 20 points, leading Centralia with 21.
Three different Centralia players finished with six points.
