Playing in front of its home fans for the first time this year, the Centralia football team fell to Battle Ground Friday night, 41-6.

The Tigers of Lewis County (0-2) fell behind in an early hole, and could never recover, scoring just once late when Landen Jenkins found Cobain Kennedy for a 28-yard touchdown.

The Tigers of Clark County (1-1), meanwhile, had nearly 400 yards of total offense, and held Centralia to just 181 yards of total offense.

Kennedy had 10 catches for Centralia for 142 yards with a touchdown catch, accounting for all but 12 yards of offense through the air. He also had four tackles and three pass breakups, and Gabe Seymour added four tackles with one pass breakup.

Centralia will play Aberdeen next week on the road searching for its first win.
