The Centralia Downtown Association (CDA) will host its quarterly block party, kicking off 2024, at The Juice Box in Centralia on Wednesday with a celebration of all the organization has planned for 2024 and opportunities for public input.

“We learned a lot and really stepped up our game last year,” said MacKenzie McGee, executive director of the CDA. “We’re fresh off of our board retreat where we dreamed up our big goals for 2024, but we really want to hear from the community on what they want to see done to improve downtown.”

The free, family-friendly event will feature music, food and interactive opportunities to learn about projects the CDA plans to take on, vote for priorities or share ideas and feedback.

All members of the community are welcome to attend, particularly those that are passionate about downtown Centralia, according to a CDA news release.

“If you love historic downtown Centralia, this is a great opportunity to help shape how it looks over the next year,” McGee said. “We do what we do to provide a strong community hub and create a place that people want to live, work and play. But there is always room for more Hub City love! There’s so much we’re excited to do this year, working closely with more of our community partners and strengthening the things we did well last year, as well as a few fun new projects.”

The event starts at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at The Juice Box, located at 216 N. Tower Ave. in Centralia.
