The Centralia Downtown Association will launch a pilot expansion of its downtown flower basket program for the 2026 season thanks to continued partnerships with the City of Centralia and the monetary support of the Centralia Community Foundation.
This pilot year increases the program from 139 to 164 hanging flower baskets, a news release from the downtown association stated. The expanded footprint spans Tower Avenue down to First Street and continues up the Main Street corridor.
The pilot expansion has been made possible through a combination of public partnerships and community sponsorships. Together, these investments allow the Centralia Downtown Association to test an expanded beautification effort while evaluating its long-term sustainability and impact, according to the release.
“The pilot year gives us the opportunity to grow intentionally,” the Centralia Downtown Association stated in the release. “It also underscores how important community support is to efforts like this. If the community values a more vibrant and welcoming downtown, continued sponsorships and donations will be essential to sustaining and expanding this program in future seasons.”
The flower basket program is part of a broader, long-term effort to enhance downtown through beautification, collaboration and community stewardship, the release stated.
