Centralia College: Two Positive COVID-19 Cases Reported on Campus Wednesday

Two positive cases of COVID-19 were reported Wednesday to staff at Centralia College, the college confirmed in an update. 

Both cases were reported on the main campus that day, with one in the Early Learning Center and another in the Technology Center. 

“Campus Safety and Security conducted a thorough investigation. All individuals identified as being exposed have been notified and are quarantining or isolating, as recommended by the Lewis County Public Health Health department,” the college wrote in its update. “The affected areas have been cleaned according to current Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.” 



No details were given on how many close contacts were identified. 

The college continues to encourage its staff and students to wear face coverings when indoors and when in crowded outdoor areas, as well as to continue maintaining social distancing and hygiene practices.
