The Centralia College Choir will present a free concert of music from around the world at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, at Centralia College’s Corbet Theatre.
The program will include music from Brazil, Syria, South Africa, Sweden, Namibia, Scotland, Ireland and Appalachia.

The choir’s June 8 program will include:
• “Muié Rendêra” — An arrangement of two of the most popular folk tunes from Northeast Brazil, arranged by Carlos Alberto Pinto Fonseca
• “Yal Asmar Ellon” — A traditional song from Syria, arranged by Edward Torikian
• “Bawo Thixo Somandla” — Xhosa, arranged by Sidumo Nyamezele
• “Vårvindar friska” — A traditional Swedish song, arranged by Sheena Phillips
• “Cluck ol’ Hen” — from Three Appalachian Settings, by Phillip Rhodes
• “Tate Yetu” — a Namibian song, arranged by Albertina Mweendeleli
• “Black is the Color of my True Love’s Hair” — Scottish/Appalachian, arranged by D. Kruglov
• “Mairi’s Wedding” — A traditional Irish song, arranged by Adriano Secco
