Titans pile on late in rout of Trailblazers

The Centralia soccer team was competitive early in Tacoma on Wednesday, but the Titans pulled away and piled on to cruise to a 6-0 win.

The Titans got on the board immediately, as Sho Nakamiya found the back of the net just 65 seconds in, but Centralia (3-5-3, 2-4-2 NWAC) settled in.

Over the entire first half, the Trailblazers outshot the Titans 7-5, but they couldn’t find an equalizer.

In the 37th minute, Aidan Harvey doubled the Tacoma advantage to make it 2-0 heading into the break.

The floodgates opened early in the second half, as the Titans scored four times in under eight minutes to quickly put the game out of reach. The Trailblazers managed just one shot in the second half as opposed to Tacoma’s 12.

Looking to snap a short two-game skid, Centralia will take on Pierce on Saturday at Bob Peters Field.
