Cascade Apartments hosts final community tour and ribbon-cutting Aug. 7

Northwest Property Managers, formerly TJ Guyer, has announced a ribbon-cutting ceremony and final tour of the newly renovated Cascade Apartments, formerly Cascade Elementary School, on Thursday, Aug. 7.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony is at noon, with tours continuing until 1 p.m., according to a news release from the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce.

The event takes place at 101 SW Second St. in Chehalis.

“This event gives us a chance to showcase the renovation and allow the community to see the transformation of classrooms into apartments,” Steve Wohld, co-owner of Northwest Property Managers, said.

The historic school building has been converted into five apartment units, nearly all of which have already been leased.

“We wanted to give the public an opportunity to view the changes before it becomes private property,” Wohld said.

Each apartment features a washer and dryer, internet and a fully restored interior. The complex also includes a fitness center and a game room, with the gymnasium expected to be fully restored and available for use this winter, according to the news release.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony is hosted by the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce, which supports local business milestones, including grand openings, expansions and new ownership.

Chamber membership is not required to attend the ceremony. For more information, call 360-748-8885.
