Brian Allen Mattis, 56, passed away Aug. 14, 2019, at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, with family by his side. He was born April 18, 1963, to George A. Mattis and Nancy I. Mattis-Jorgensen in Chehalis.
Brian graduated from W.F. West High School in 1982. He was an avid Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners fan.
Brian was preceded in death by his father, George A. Mattis; uncle, William “Bill” Mattis; grandparents, Jim and Lila Mattis and Gordan and Irene Leal; and aunt, Janet Calhoun.
He leaves behind his mother, Nancy Mattis-Jorgensen of Chehalis; step-father, Jim Fisher; sister, Karen Mattis; nephew, Andrew A.J. Mortensen; cousins, Jim Mattis, Terry Mattis, Cheryl Podmore, Ronald Podmore, Denise Calhoun and Michael Calhoun; aunts and uncles, Dick and Lydia Mattis, Judy and Ray Podmore and John Calhoun.
A private service will be held at a later date.
