For the simple cost of a donation in any amount, all can attend a Breakfast with Santa event Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Mossyrock Grange, according to grange member Marilyn Armit.

From 9 to 11 a.m., Santa will be in the grange hall for children to meet. The hall is located at 152 Isbell Road in Mossyrock.

“We’ll have pancakes and ham,” Armit added.

The event will be operated entirely by grange members, who Armit said are volunteering their time. For more information, visit the Mossyrock Grange’s Facebook page, https://tinyurl.com/47jb6cfv.

Following Breakfast with Santa Saturday, the City of Mossyrock will host its official Christmas tree lighting ceremony outside of the Mossyrock Community Center, located at 219 E. State St. in Mossyrock.

The tree lighting ceremony will run from 6 to 8:30 p.m., according to Mossyrock Treasurer Angeleetta Hartmann. Attendees will also be able to enjoy cookies, hot cocoa and ornament decorating.

“They’ll have a movie for the kids in the community center too … I think it’s The Santa Clause movie (with Tim Allen),” Hartmann said.

Additionally, children will once again have a chance to have their pictures taken with Santa as Lewis County Fire District 3 will be dropping him off for the event.

“I think the Grinch is supposed to be there as well,” Hartmann added.
