An Oregon City man has been arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend 50 days after her body was found dumped on a forest service road in unincorporated Clackamas County.

Court documents accuse William G. Blake, 56, of fatally shooting his girlfriend, 38-year-old Jennifer Stuart, in mid-August during an argument inside their home in the 600 block of Hilltop Lane in Oregon City.

Stuart’s body wasn’t discovered until Sept. 1.

Blake was arrested Thursday and remains in the Clackamas County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder, abuse of a corpse and evidence tampering pending an arraignment next Friday.

His 15-year-old son, Joshua Blake, was also taken into custody on abuse of a corpse charges for allegedly helping transport Stuart’s remains to an isolated spot near the end of South Hillockburn Road.

Detectives are eager to speak with another son — 17-year-old Austin M. Blake — and seek a pickup he may be driving. The vehicle in question is a 2002 red and gray Chevy Avalanche with Texas plates TFN3197.

Anyone with information on Austin Blake or the truck’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

William Blake was charged with second-degree kidnapping in Clackamas County in 1991, but the charges were reduced to menacing as part of a plea deal, records show. He was ordered to pay a $500 fine after being convicted of methamphetamine possession last year.

Local deputies arrested Blake during a traffic stop last week and again charged him with possession of meth and reckless driving. That case is pending.
