The Centralia Downtown Association has announced that Bon Bon Vivant, as well as Eel Sallad, will be performing for the Music in the Park series at 6 p.m. on July 26 at George Washington Park, 110 S Silver St, Centralia.
New Orleans band Bon Bon Vivant pays homage to the bawdy New Orleans sound while infusing a klezmer spark, dark ballads and up-tempo dance rock. Bon Bon Vivant’s instrumentation, message of hope and ability to connect has proven an inspiring resilience, an Instagram post from the Washington Association of Culture and Arts (WACA) stated.
Winner of the 2024 WACA Battle of the Bands, Eel Sallad is a WACA favorite known for a blend of grunge and bluegrass, according to the Instagram post. Their music fuses the intensity of grunge with the rhythmic drive and instrumental flair of bluegrass, creating an energetic sound that stands out in the Pacific Northwest music scene.
Music in the Park is free, and attendees are advised to bring a blanket or chair to sit on.
Vendors will be on site with food and drinks available for purchase.
