A bomb threat and a suspicious package created tension on the Capitol Campus Thursday and kept the Washington State Patrol busy.

Operations at two Capitol Campus buildings — the Highways Licenses Building and the Department of Natural Resources — were locked down for most of the day, but returned to normal operations late in the afternoon after no threat was found.

According to Washington State Patrol, at 10:40 a.m. a person dropped off an envelope at a reception desk near the Temple of Justice.
