Lewis County Fire District 13, also known as the Boistfort Firefighters Association, is seeking the public’s help following the theft of three rescue tools from its fire station.
The theft, which was captured on camera from inside the station, occurred on Wednesday, April 22, at about 10 p.m., according to Fire Chief Gwen Turner.
The operation took about 25 minutes.
Stolen items include a TNT 7 3/4-inch Brute Force C-Cutter, a TNT 28-inch Spreader and a Stihl K12 saw, Turner said.
According to Turner, the male suspect possibly used a screwdriver or "slim jim" tool to get past the lock on the southside man door.
The fire station is located at 997 Boistfort Road.
In a news release, the fire district said the stolen tools are “critical equipment used to serve and protect the community.”
The Boistfort Firefighters Association is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect and the return of the district’s tools.
Anyone with information was told to call the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office at 360-748-9286.
The case number is 26C4929.
