The middle two quarters did the Centralia College women’s basketball team in Wednesday, in a 69-51 loss to Shoreline.
The Blazers (1-4) trailed 22-17 after the first quarter, and outscored the Dolphins by five in the fourth. In between, though, CC managed just 18 total points, and Shoreline ran out to a 58-35 after the third.
Madison Gore led all scorers with 22 points, and also had four assists. Maya Barnett finished just shy of a double-double with eight points and 11 rebounds, while Josie Schultz had seven points and seven boards, and Foai Pula had six and nine.
As a team, though, the Blazers went 2 for 18 from beyond the arc, and shot 17 percent from the field between the second and third quarters.
On the other side, Shoreline’s leading scorer only racked up 13 points, but the Dolphins had six players with at least eight.
CC will come back home Saturday to host Clark College.
