Blazers Fall to SPSCC in Four

Though it picked up a first set victory, the Centralia College volleyball team couldn’t keep up the momentum in a four-set loss to South Puget Sound in Olympia, 18-25, 25-18, 25-15, 25-17.

Malika Slassia had perfect serving for the Trailblazers, Zaria Harris had seven kills on the outside, and Kate Demery picked up 30 digs in the four-set loss.

“SPSCC had a strong attack but couldn't outsmart Demery, who was ready and waiting for each swing,” Centralia coach Susan Gordon said. “Tierra Washington had strong net play, and did a great job of funneling the attack to our back row defense with multiple touches on the block.”

The Blazers travel to Green River Thursday to play the Gators next at 7 p.m.
