Black Hills’ Ellie Johnson won the 2A District 4 Championship on Wednesday in Tumwater, shooting a 4-over 76 on Day 2 to finish the tournament with a 153.
That was nine strokes better than the second-place golfer from Mark Morris, and it was 14 strokes better than the third-place golfer from Washougal.
With Johnson leading the way, the Wolves also won the team title with 172.5 team points, 46 more than second-place Columbia River.
Four other Wolves — Melody Hackworth, Natalie Buchanan, Megan Dolby, and Lila Ariss — finished between 12th and 16th place, and they will join Johnson at the state tournament.
Tumwater’s Jenna Kalar (8th), Lily Wagner (11th), and Paige Dorcy (16th) are also through to state, as are W.F. West’s Madyson Alexander (14th) and Centralia’s Tess McMurry (19th).
The 2A Girls State Golf Tournament will be right back at Tumwater Valley on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 20 and 21.
