Two goals and two dimes from Rhylee Beebe and a pair of second half tallies from Sophie Hagseth allowed the Pirates to blow by the Spartans 6-0 in their last C2BL regular season game of the season.
Since Adna (8-8-2, 7-2) will not be involved in a potential three-way tiebreaker, they are slotted into the No. 4 seed for the Class 2B District 4 tournament and will host either Ocosta or Raymond/South Bend in the first round next week.
“We are starting to get things clicking amongst everyone now and understanding our formation of play and everyone’s roles,” Pirates head coach Patrick Richardson said. “We had so many shots that honestly so many more should have found the back of the net.”
Adna posted 37 shots and scored in the 18th, 28th and 38th minutes on goals by Beebem Bailey Nailon and Alyson Terry. Beebe added her second goal in the 57th minute while Hagseth’s tallies were in the 49th and 71st minute. All six goals by the Pirates were assisted.
