The Tenino baseball team capped off its run in the 1A District 4 tournament with its second win in Castle Rock in as many days, taking down King’s Way Christian 10-4.

Austin Gonia went 3 for 4 with two doubles and three runs driven in to lead the Beavers at the plate. Kellan Knox went 2 for 4 with a double, while Will Feltus and Jack Burkhardt both had two singles and an RBI.

Tenino started off hot at the plate yet again, scoring five runs in the first two innings to take a lead. The Beavers added two in the fifth before dropping three more in the sixth.

As a team, Tenino bashed out 13 hits to score its 10 runs.

Brody Noonan started on the hill and gave up one hit in three innings. King’s Way nabbed him for one earned run and two unearned runs, before he gave way for Easton Snider, who earned the save for going four innings with the lead and allowing one run on three hits.

Tenino takes the third-place spot in District 4 into the state tournament; the Beavers will learn their regional foe from the committee Sunday.
