Beavers Shut Out By Bulldogs

The Tenino softball team dropped a game Thursday in Montesano to the Bulldogs, 16-0.

A painfully slow day at the plate for the Beavers, paired with a just as painfully busy day at the plate for the Bulldogs, spelled out a four inning run-rule loss for the Beavers. Tenino managed to put the ball in play for a base hit twice throughout the game, whereas Monte got the bat on the ball in every inning for a total of 14 hits.

With the Bulldogs putting everything in play, fielding was tough on the Beavers defense, as they committed five errors through four innings. The errors helped Monte tack on seven unearned runs.

After a huge eight-run first inning the bulldogs continued their offensive attack throughout the four innings. The Beavers two hits came from Chloe Grayless, who singled to right in the first, and Brooke Bratton in the fourth.

The Beavers look to bounce back tomorrow as they travel back to Montesano to battle Cedar Park Christian in a district crossover game.
