It wasn’t the Tenino girls soccer team’s night on Tuesday, as the Beavers lost to Elma 7-0.
They trailed 3-0 at halftime and were outshot 20-2.
“We came out a little flat and did a good job absorbing their pressure,” Tenino coach Dave Montgomery said. “Until a silly foul in the box.”
Elma’s Beta Valentine made the ensuing PK, the first of six goals from the senior on the night.
“Tomorrow’s a new day,” Montgomery said. “We’ll get back to work.”
Tenino (4-4-1, 0-2-0 1A Evergreen) will look to bounce back at Hoquiam on Thursday.
