The Tenino boys basketball team burst out to a big lead and never looked back Friday, downing Eatonville 59-38 in its penultimate game of the regular season.
The Beavers (11-4, 6-1 1A Evergreen) held the Cruisers to just 20 points in the first three quarters, building up a 28-point lead heading into the final frame.
Noah Schow posted 23 points — hitting the Beavers’ only two 3-pointers of the night — while also logging 18 rebounds.
Jack Burkhardt added a 17-point, 14-rebound double-double with four blocks thrown in for good measure, and Austin Gonia had 14 points.
Will Feltus dished out seven assists.
Tenino has one more game before the postseason, and will face Elma next Wednesday in a game for the 1A Evergreen title.
