It took an extra point in the third set, but the Tenino volleyball team was able to come away with a 25-15, 25-12, 26-24 sweep over Rochester on Tuesday.
Katen Burkhardt led the offense with 17 kills, eight aces, and four digs while missing just two serves, while Violet Zimmer finished with five kills, two digs, and an ace.
Sequoia Zimmer dished out 28 assists while adding six digs and four aces, Jaeleen Woodward added 11 digs and an ace while missing just one serve, and Kendall Bowe logged seven kills, two digs, and two blocks.
Tenino (7-6, 3-1 1A Evergreen) has now won four games in a row heading into a rematch with Montesano next Tuesday, Oct. 14.
“This group of players is selfless,” Tenino coach Shauna Carpenter said. “It’s a fun group to coach. I think they have it in them to do big things.”
Rochester (3-7, 1-2 1A Evergreen) will head to Hoquiam on Thursday.
