The Beavers bounced back from their opening loss earlier in the week by sweeping Eatonville 25-23, 25-14, 25-17 on Tuesday.
“Slow start tonight, but once communication kicked in we played our game and put the ball away smart,” Tenino coach Shauna Carpenter said. “Definitely some cleanup to do, but progress for sure.”
Sequoia Zimmer went perfect from the service line on 18 tries, and she also added nine assists, four kills, four digs and three aces, while Jaeleen Woodward finished 11 for 13 from the line and added eight digs defensively.

Adna and MWP drop openers
The Adna volleyball team made its 2025 debut on Tuesday in Castle Rock, and the Pirates fell in four sets to the Rockets.
It’s the first time that the Pirates have lost their opener since at least 2019, and it’s their first regular season loss since Oct. 11, 2022, snapping a 36-game winning streak in regular season games.
The Pirates will hope to get back on track on Thursday, when they host Montesano in their home opener.
After that, it’s a trip east on Sept. 20. Adna will face Manson in a state title game rematch at La Center before facing La Center in the second leg of a doubleheader.
Morton-White Pass also lost its opener, falling in straight sets at Toutle Lake in a non-league matchup.
The Timberwolves will be in Morton on Thursday to host Eatonville before finishing their week with a trip to Oakville on Friday.
