The W.F. West baseball team’s five-game winning streak came to an end on Friday, as the Bearcats lost 6-2 against 3A Bainbridge.

Bainbridge got on the board with two in the second, and they added three in the fourth to go up 5-0.

W.F. West (9-2, 4-0 2A EvCo) scored in the fifth and sixth, but they weren’t able to get any closer.

Deacon Meller went 2 for 3 at the plate and drove in a run, while Connor Coleman drilled a double and scored a run as part of a 1 for 2 day.

Braden Jones had the best day on the mound for W.F. West, pitching two innings while allowing no hits and an unearned run while walking and striking out one.

The Bearcats are back on the road on Tuesday, when they’ll head to Shelton for the first of a two-game set.
