The W.F. West bowling team celebrated its Senior Night in style on Thursday, clinching its sixth-straight Evergreen Conference Championship by defeating Rochester 2,277-1,967 in front of a standing room only crowd at Fairway Lanes.

Bearcat Seniors that were honored included Aly Wiens, August Isenhower, Jainah Johnson, Savanna Hoyt-Siler, Laura Adams, Lexi DeLisle, Emma Hamilton, and Codi Bieker.

Hoyt-Siler celebrated her eighteenth birthday by averaging 217 pins, including games of 212 and 223. “Steady Eddie” Wiens backed that up by averaging 207. Lefty Isenhower averaged 184, and Hamilton averaged 176.

Natalie Southard led Rochester by averaging 191 pins, including a game of 224, and Kailyn Black had a 211.

Two more league games remain for the Bearcats next week, as they’ll travel to Aberdeen on Tuesday before a make-up match against Tumwater at Fairway Lanes on Thursday. Rochester will also be at Fairway Lanes on Tuesday to face Centralia.

Both teams are preparing for the District Tournament on Jan. 31 at Fairway Lanes, where bowlers will be competing for a chance to go to the State Tournament at Bowlero Lanes in Tukwila on Feb. 7 and 8.
