The W.F. West girls golf team lost a close matchup against Tumwater on Wednesday at Tumwater Valley, as the T-Birds were able to come away with a 99-91 victory.
Madi Alexander shot a 50 to lead the Bearcats, while Annabel Moeckel shot a 53 and Paige Duncan shot a 55. Joelie Corey posted a 56, Allie Anderson logged a 61, and Ava Hamilton ended the day with a 64.
“I think overall we’re getting better,” W.F. West coach Marty Marquez said. “And the weather still isn’t great. But we will improve on that score for next time.”
The Bearcats will be right back at Tumwater Valley on Monday to face Black Hills.
