Paced by a 173 average from Julianna Gonzalez and a 199 game from Mac Zuber, the W.F. West High School girls bowling team defeated Black Hills 1,937-1,473 in an Evergreen Conference match at Westside Lanes.
The victory came after the Bearcats placed second in the Tower Classic over the weekend, a 12-team tournament that featured all 3A and 4A programs. They were behind Skyview in the team results.
“A break will do us good,” W.F. West head coach Rich Bunker said.
The Bearcats will kick off the new year with a Swamp Cup match against Centralia on Jan. 6 at Fairway Lanes.
