The W.F. West baseball team scored early and often on Wednesday, setting the tone in an 11-0 five-inning victory over Black Hills.

After a scoreless top of the first, the Bearcats (7-1, 3-0 2A EvCo) scored two runs on bases-loaded walks in the bottom half to take a 2-0 lead.

A Braden Jones double made it 4-0 in the bottom of the second, and another run scores on a walk to make it 5-0.

W.F. West added six in the third to put the game into run-rule territory, and Miles Martin finished out a one-hit shutout on the mound to make sure it ended in five. He struck out seven and walked four.

Jones finished 4 for 4 at the plate with a double, three RBIs, and two runs scored.

Logan Swannack recorded the only base hit for the Wolves (2-2, 0-1 2A EvCo).

These two teams are right back at it again at Centralia College on Thursday at 4:30.
