Starting fast, and holding on after some errors led to a late rally, the W.F. West volleyball team defeated Aberdeen at home Tuesday night in straight sets, 25-14, 25-19, 25-22.
Rolling all the way to a win in the first set, the Bearcats tried some new things that resulted in errors in the second set, leading to some Bobcat momentum, but after a timely kill from Ava Brenner in the third set, the Bearcats were able to finish it out and preserve the win and sweep.
Morgan Rogerson had 14 kills and just two errors in an outstanding night at the net, Julia Dalan and Chloe Chloupek had eight and five kills, respectively, as well as five combined blocks. As a team, the Bearcats served 92% with 10 total aces.
The Bearcats are set to host Tumwater for their next contest on Thursday.
