Barnes leads in only contested Napavine School Board race

Brandon Barnes appears to be the victorious candidate in the only contested race for Napavine School Board. 

Barnes collected 391 votes, or 57.75%, compared to Henry “Sonny” Butler’s 266 votes, or 39.29%, as of a preliminary count released Tuesday night by the Lewis County Auditor’s Office. 



Meanwhile, Daniel Mikota won another position on the Napavine School Board after running unopposed. 

The preliminary count included the results of 13,338 ballots. The Lewis County Auditor’s Office estimated there were still 701 ballots left to count on election night, with an estimated total voter turnout of 24.15%.
