Balanced scoring puts Adna back in win column

Four players registered scoring in double figures and coupled with an explosive first two periods, it was more than enough for the Pirates to pick up a 69-36 win over Mossyrock on Friday night in a C2BL clash.

By the time both teams jogged into the locker room, Adna (16-4, 13-12 C2BL) was nearing a 50-piece. It was primarily a product of the free throw line where it went 9-of-14 and it also buried five 3-pointers. Gavan Muller led the efforts with a 17-point performance.

Trevin Salme added 15 for the Pirates while post Jackson Knittle chipped in 14 and Grayson Humphrey recorded 10. Adna will wrap up the regular season on Monday against Winlock, a win away from securing the No. 2 seed and a bye at the district tournament.

Mossyrock (4-13, 4-12) made just 16 field goals for the night and didn’t attempt a free throw in the game. Ethan Johnson posted a team-best 15 points while three others registered at least six points. The Vikings will be in the district tournament as either the seventh or eighth seed.
