The W.F. West girls basketball team won its third game in a row in dominant fashion on Thursday, taking down Black Hills 75-27 at home.
The Bearcats built a 10-point lead in the first, extended it to 26 but halftime, and were nearing running-clock territory in the third.
Six different Bearcats finished with at least seven points, including Dilyn Boeck, who led the way with 18, Joy Cushman, who scored 14, and Kaitlyn Chloupek, who had 11.
Mallory Gaskill and Izzy Teeter both had eight, and Dress Cushman added seven.
W.F. West coach Kyle Karnofski took the time to go through each one of his players, commending each and every one of them for things they did well throughout the win.
“Everybody contributed, all 13, and that’s what we’re looking for going into a game,” Karnofski said. “I was really proud of them for that … I was just really happy with how we played as a group.”
W.F. West was just as impressive on the defensive end, where it held the Wolves to less than nine points in all four quarters.
“We did a good job rotating and being active and ball hawks, getting deflections and getting out and running,” Karnofski said. “The girls executed that really well.”
Natalie Buchanan finished with 12 points to lead the Wolves, while Tyler Venable added seven.
Black Hills (7-6, 0-2 2A EvCo) will head to Tumwater on Tuesday, and on the same night, W.F. West (8-4, 2-0 2A EvCo) will host Aberdeen.
